
Area NotesCenter Hill Lake is 64 miles long, with 415 miles of shoreline. With this lake and the scenic surrounding area, there is plenty of opportunity to explore. The many lanes in the immediate vicinity of our vacation homes provide lovely walks. Fisherman from all over come to Center Hill Lake to fill their stringers with Crappie, Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass, Bream, Catfish, Walleye, and many other species. Trout fishing on the Caney Fork River side of Center Hill Dam is quite popular. You will find the best water skiing the state has to offer in Center Hill Lake's many coves. The protection of the high rolling hills keeps the wind off the water and the waves to a minimum producing some of the best barefoot and slalom skiing conditions available. At dawn the lake reflects like glass and you will find the pros at one of the lakes two slalom courses. In the larger more open areas of the lake near Floating Mill Recreational area and Center Hill Dam, you may see an occasional sailboat enjoying the lake's afternoon breezes. Boating, fishing, hunting, swimming, sailing, skiing, all are part of the daily Center Hill Lake scene. There are many places to launch boats including State Parks and Private Marinas. Boat rentals including jon boats, pontoon boats, ski boats and houseboats are available at Hurricane Marina, Edgar Evins Marina, Center Hill Marina, and Sligo Marina. The Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency governs all boat registration, and hunting and fishing licensing. |
